De Paris was born from a single, stubborn conviction: that Toronto deserved a French restaurant with soul. Not a pastiche of Parisian clichés, but a place that carries the warmth, rigour and quiet elegance of a true neighbourhood bistro on the Left Bank.

Founded in 2018 by chef Étienne Moreau and restaurateur Claire Beaumont, De Paris has grown from a 30-seat dining room into one of Toronto's most beloved fine dining addresses — without ever forgetting its roots.

Every plate that leaves our kitchen reflects a deep respect for classical French technique, seasonal Canadian produce, and the belief that great food is simply great hospitality made edible.

The Beginning
Étienne and Claire open the doors of De Paris on Avenue Road with just 30 covers, a wood-fired oven and an unwavering vision.

First Recognition
Toronto Life names De Paris one of the city's Top 10 new restaurants. The weekend brunch becomes an instant neighbourhood institution.
Through the Storm
Like all restaurants, we weathered the pandemic. We pivoted to family-style takeaway menus and emerged with a deeper bond with our community.

Expansion & Wine Cellar
We expanded to 70 covers and unveiled a 400-label wine cellar, earning recognition from the World of Fine Wine for our selection.

De Paris continues to evolve with the seasons, its team, and its guests — always with Paris in mind, and Toronto in its heart.

Restaurateur & Co-founder
A Parisian-born hospitality veteran with 20 years across the world's finest dining rooms. Claire is the warmth that guests feel the moment they arrive.
Marc Lefèvre
Head Sommelier
Certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Marc has curated De Paris's cellar since day one, with a particular passion for Burgundy and natural wines.

Our menu changes with the seasons because the best ingredient is always the freshest one. We source from Ontario farmers and Quebec producers we trust personally.
